Complex Care (including a Nurse Led Service)

Our Complex Care teams provide holistic assessments, care and support led by a trained Registered Nurse. We recognise that people being supported in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by family and friends, gives them control and adds to their overall wellbeing and independence. We use team approach for continuity and consistency of care.

Our care staff work to support service users with the following:

  • Tracheostomy care – we support with full tracheostomy changing, assisting with inner cannula changing, cleaning and care of the stoma site.
  • Ambu-bagging – manual ventilation where clinical signs indicate respiratory difficulties require this.
  • Cough assist – we support with checking and ensuring that setting are correct. Full assistance in the use of cough assist either manual or automatic.
